Shreemathi Tumkur, Financial Sustainability intern, is a second year Masters in Public Administration student at Columbia University. She is concentrating on Economic and Political Development. Over summer 2017, she interned at United Nations Fragile Population Fund (UNFPA) headquarters at NY and also worked on a research project with an impact investing firm called Quantified Ventures. Prior to SIPA, Shreemathi has three years of work experience in the development space in India. As a Teach For India fellow, she taught in a low-income school in Hyderabad for two years. Shreemathi later worked with the Government of Delhi to launch a policy on Public Private Partnership partnership to improve the quality of education in public schools in India. She is passionate about impact investing and using technology for social impact.
