LINC was invited to present our work on Social Network Analysis to the USAID Local Systems Community on January 21, 2016. This group of approximately 30 members from across USAID practice areas comes together regularly to discuss applications of systems approaches to international development programming, and to hear examples and experiences from practitioners. The LINC presentation focused on the methodology we use for Social Network Analysis and used our recent Nicaragua Workforce Development case study as an example. The Q&A brought out some interesting uses for SNA, including current and planned activities at USAID. The discussion was very promising, as many of the attendees felt that SNA is one of the more applicable and easy-to-use systems approaches at the moment.
