In Malawi, LINC partnered with researchers affiliated with Mzuzu University to evaluate World Connect’s small-grants approach. The mixed-methods evaluation combined surveys, Social Network Analysis, and participatory systems mapping to see whether projects chosen and led by communities responded to local priorities and helped people build the skills and confidence to manage future development efforts. The study found that communities valued the grants highly and that the approach strengthened local leadership and capacity. Read more.
