Feedback loops anchor LINC’s adaptive approach, enabling ongoing improvement through a continuous cycle of listening, engagement, discovery, learning and adaptation.
Why We Do It
Monitoring and evaluation initiatives in the development space tend to be over-engineered, reliant on external experts, complex methods and impersonal indicators. As a result, findings and recommendations often ring hollow, disconnected from local reality and ultimately not incorporated into a virtuous cycle of learning and adaptation.
LINC’s complexity-aware Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approach works to capture locally-relevant learning, applying tools and methods that are accessible, transferable and result in positive impact over time.
How We Do It
LINC assists donors and local organizations to better understand, capture, communicate, and ultimately enhance, the impact of their work. Our offer integrates complexity-aware MEL with more familiar approaches, such as surveys and qualitative analysis. Feedback loops anchor our adaptive approach, enabling ongoing improvement through a continuous cycle of listening, engagement, discovery, learning and adaptation.
Our current portfolio of activities includes the provision of technical assistance to USAID on performance indicators, a longitudinal evaluation for DFID in DRC, establishing project monitoring systems in Bangladesh, and multiple performance evaluations and sectoral assessments for programs in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
