LINC conducted the performance evaluation to the Kenya Accelerated Value Chain Development (AVCD) Program.
The Kenya Feed the Future (FTF) AVCD Program activity was a five year World Bank buy-in field-support Grant to a consortium of Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Centers led by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). The FTF-AVCD Program harnessed the technologies and innovations within the CGIAR to contribute to the development objectives of the USAID Cooperation Strategies for Kenya.
The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the activity design and implementation to inform the design of future activities which harness agricultural technology and innovations within the CGIAR and other research organizations. The evaluation captured lessons learned to improve the impact of future agricultural technology and innovation activities, inform and improve policies, and strengthen the design of future activities.
The Evaluation was conducted by LINC and its consortium partner ICF Macro (ICF).
